Best car scanner for Ev6?

Looking for recommendations for a car scanner and OBD11 unit for our Ev6.Gt Line AWD

Read that best uses Bluetooth and wonder can I still use Android Auto at the same time..??

I use Car Scanner with a OBDLink Cx dongle. Works like a charm and no risk of draining the 12 Volt battery as the OBDLink Cx automatically shuts down when the car is turned off.
And yes, you can still use Android Auto concurrently.

Thanks guys...I just ordered an OBD unit and downloaded the Car Scanner app.

Looking forward to more info on the vehicle's performance including health of the 12 volt battery.

Maybe I am one of the lucky ones, but I have not had any issues with this or the ICCU..after 38,000 K

You can also try to install a device called Battery Monitor - around $30-$40 on ebay / Amazon. This sits permanently across your 12V battery and you can monitor the battery health via Bluetooth on an android app. No risk of draining battery - I have one on my EV6 and one on my wife's ICE vehicle.

Gives you snaps like this... Dead flat was when car was being charged. Slow drop is from dashcam. Jumping is when I was driving

Connected the CarScanner and went through the custom items but can't see an option in the list of sensors to monitor the 12 volt battery voltage..

Am I missing something or doesn't the Ev6 provide this to the OBD Unit and is that why you also have to have the separate battery monitor unit..??

It's called [VCMS]Aux battery Voltage. Make sure you have loaded the EV6 profile.

Thanks for your tip.and information..I went back through the setup and found that I had missed a step so the configuration didn't include the correct profile.

Changed it to Ev6 and now all sensors are readable including the one for the 12 volt battery.

Kevoca sure is a great resource for information and configuration of vehicle accessory add ons
